VENTEON and HARVARD RESOURCE SOLUTIONS are hiring a detail-oriented BOOKKEEPER to provide support in Commerce Township MI. Our client is seeking an individual to execute accounting activities and provide support for the month-end closing process.
POSITION TYPE: Full time, direct hire position. In Office daily.
PAY: $60,000 to $65,000 annual plus PTO and benefits
Job Responsibilities
Duties of the Bookkeeper:
- Work closely with the Finance Director to ensure accounting tasks are completed timely and accurately.
- Maintain vendor and customer account information in the system.
- Enter vendor invoices, code them correctly to the job / general ledger account code, and process vendor payments bi-weekly.
- Generate customer invoices according to specific contract terms including work-in-progress invoices. Process sales transactions each day.
- Provide support for month-end close by preparing and entering journal entries and accruals, performing reconciliations, and producing financial reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, loans, and balance-sheet accounts.
- Support the broader team with additional bookkeeping tasks as needed to help close the books accurately and on time each month.

Qualifications
Requirements of the Bookkeeper:
- College degree is nice to have. HS Diploma required. Knowledge of GAAP requied.
- 4–5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Experience with A/P, A/R, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, creating journal entries and performing general ledger reconciliations.
- Experience with accrual accounting, debits, and credits.
- Project accounting, job-costing, or progress billing experience needed.
- Person who enjoys working with numbers and strives for accuracy.
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online. Strong MS Excel capability.
