Position Summary
HireCall is seeking Box Header Welder Trainees for a manufacturing company in Claremore, OK that specializes in industrial air coolers.
This is an excellent opportunity for a welding school or vocational school graduate looking to build hands-on experience in a heavy manufacturing and fabrication environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in welding and the ability to learn header welding, fit-up, fabrication, and production procedures.
Essential Job Duties
- Train to weld box headers, pipe, and structural components used in air cooler manufacturing
- Develop skills in MIG, TIG, and Flux Core welding
- Learn to read blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
- Fit and align materials prior to welding
- Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and proper penetration
- Learn to safely operate grinders, torches, cutting equipment, and fabrication tools
- Follow established welding procedures and production standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety and quality requirements
- Work overtime and Saturdays as needed to meet production schedules
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of welding experience in manufacturing or fabrication
- Experience welding pipe or pressure-related components preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols
- Familiarity with tape measures, hand tools, and fabrication equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Dependable attendance and stable work history required
Preferred Experience
- Air cooler, heat exchanger, pressure vessel, or heavy fabrication experience
- FCAW, MIG, and TIG welding experience
- Fit-up and fabrication knowledge
- Overhead crane and forklift experience is a plus
