ABOUT THE POSITION
The County of Riversides Board of Supervisors is currently seeking a paid Legislative Intern/ Youth Advisory Council (YAC) Coordinator.
The in-person student internship position is based in Riverside County and offers a flexible work week consisting of approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility granted around academic obligations. The selected candidate can anticipate the internship to be two years in length.
The Legislative Intern/ Youth Advisory Council (YAC) Coordinator supports the Board of Supervisors Office and Riverside County Youth Commission by managing a district-based Youth Advisory Council, coordinating civic engagement events, and assisting with legislative, community outreach, and youth development activities.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Under supervision, assists and participates in the work performed by employees of a specific profession; Through participation, receive supervised work experience in a specific professional vocation, and performs other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average: 3.0 GPA required. Proof of most current unofficial/official transcript with cumulative GPA must be provided at time of application as well as a resume, cover letter, and a recommendation letter.
Education: Applicants must be currently enrolled/attending school as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior at an accredited college or university in a Bachelors program, or Masters degree program.
Areas of Study: Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Studies, or similar.

Work Location and Telework
In-person attendance is the standard work expectation for County of Riverside assignments. Pre-Employment
