Services Provided: The Contractor shall provide phlebotomist services on site in accordance with the specifications contained herein to beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and VA Boston Healthcare System.

ervices Provided/Scope/Purpose: 2.2.1.1 Technical Requirements: The Contractor's personnel may work in multiple areas of the lab as determined by the needs of the service at that time and shall be responsible for providing the following service: 2.2.1.1.1 The employee will perform patient phlebotomy to include inpatient ward rounds, inpatient and outpatient, Emergency Department (ED), STAT, as soon as possible (ASAP), and timed draws. 2.2.1.1.2 The employee will perform sample processing and send out preparation. 2.2.1.1.3 As part of safety, positively identifies patients prior to sample collection and samples prior to testing or aliquoting. 2.2.1.1.4 As part of safety and safeguards electronic and paper patient information. 2.2.1.1.5 Identifies, documents, and resolves any collection, or processing issues. 2.2.1.1.6 Assures patient-centered care and provides service in a manner that is professional and will avoid complaints from all stakeholders and customers. 2.2.2 The contractor shall provide contract staffing for five (5) FTE Phlebotomists to provide onsite laboratory services in accordance with specifications contained herein to beneficiaries of the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) Boston Healthcare System (BHS) locations. 2.2.3 The contractor shall provide project support to assist implementing staffing needs within VA BHS.
