    About the Role:
    We are delighted to offer you the opportunity to join our camp as a Botanical Sciences Counselor. In this role, you will guide campers in exploring the fascinating world of plants, ecosystems, and sustainable practices. Through hands-on activities, experiments, and outdoor adventures, youll inspire curiosity and a love for the natural environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and lead educational activities focused on plant biology, ecosystems, and environmental sustainability.
    • Teach campers about topics such as plant anatomy, photosynthesis, ecological relationships, and the importance of conservation.
    • Organize nature walks, plant identification activities, and botanical garden explorations.
    • Facilitate hands-on projects such as planting gardens, building terrariums, or conducting experiments on plant growth.
    • Collaborate with campers to create displays or presentations on botanical topics for camp events.
    • Ensure all activities are conducted safely while creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
    • Work closely with other counselors to integrate botanical sciences into the broader camp schedule.
    • Act as a role model, fostering enthusiasm for learning about plants and the environment.

    Qualifications:

    • Background in botany, plant sciences, ecology, or a related field (academic or practical experience).
    • Strong communication and organizational skills to lead engaging and educational activities.
    • Passion for environmental education and working with children and teenagers.
    • Previous experience in teaching, camps, or nature education is preferred but not required.
    • A love for the outdoors and an appreciation for the natural world.
