Stand-By Personnel is seeking experienced Header Welders to join a growing fabrication team in Claremore. This position is responsible for assembling and welding headers, piping, and related structural components according to established specifications and quality requirements.
The ideal candidate has strong multi-process welding experience, can confidently read fabrication drawings, and takes pride in producing structurally sound, high-quality welds in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven welding experience required; header or structural welding experience preferred
- Experience with MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and/or Stick (SMAW) welding processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude
- Familiarity with metal fabrication tools and equipment
- Understanding of workplace safety procedures and welding best practices
- High school diploma or GED required
- Welding certification preferred
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform welding on headers, piping, and structural components using approved welding processes
- Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications
- Measure, cut, fit, and align metal components prior to welding
- Assemble header components according to production and engineering requirements
- Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, and compliance with specifications
- Repair or rework defective welds as necessary
- Safely operate welding machines, grinders, hand tools, and related fabrication equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety procedures and production requirements
- Collaborate with welders, fitters, and production personnel to meet project deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous header welding experience
- Structural or industrial fabrication experience
- Experience working in manufacturing, construction, or heavy fabrication environments
- Welding certification or formal welding training
- Experience with multiple welding processes
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
- Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, and working in various welding positions
- Ability to safely operate welding and fabrication equipment while wearing required PPE
- Physical stamina to perform hands-on fabrication work throughout the workday
Work Environment
- Heavy industrial manufacturing and fabrication facility
- Exposure to welding equipment, metal fabrication machinery, heat, sparks, and industrial shop conditions
