Utah's largest event is seeking fun and friendly people to join our team for the 2025 Utah State Fair!
Dates of Employment -- September 4-14, 2025, but may be called to work other events at the Fairpark!
Hours -- Vary
Pay Rate -- $15/hr
Reports to -- Ticketing Manager
Duties included but not limited to:
· Sell admission tickets to patrons at events
· Handle cash, credit, and check transactions
· Provide excellent customer service to Fairgoers
· Promote a positive, fun experience that is a great representation of the Fair brand.
· Interact with guests, answer questions as needed
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
· The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, and loves interacting with the public.
· The ideal candidate has experience with POS or ticketing systems and cash handling experience.
· Possess excellent problem-solving skills
· Solid verbal communication skills
· Ability to perform and make decisions in a very fast paced, high stress environment.
· Able to work long hours, nights and weekends during the Fair.
Physical Requirements:
The essential functions of this role must be able to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation and may include:
· Remaining in a seated or standing position for extended periods while using a computer or point-of-sale system
· Reaching, handling, and operating standard office or ticketing equipment (e.g., scanners, printers, credit card machines)
· Communicating clearly and effectively with guests in person in a potentially noisy environment
· Handling cash, credit cards, or other payment forms with accuracy and dexterity
· Reading printed materials and computer screens for extended periods
· Occasionally lifting or moving boxes of ticket stock, promotional materials, or supplies (typically up to 25 lbs)
