BOX TRUCK DRIVER

C & K Transit LLC is hiring an experienced Box Truck Driver based in the Columbia, South Carolina area.

We're looking for someone who is reliable, responsible, experienced, and easy to communicate with.

This position is a good fit for a driver who can work independently, communicate with dispatch, take care of company equipment, and handle assigned routes professionally.

What You'll Do

• Operate a company box truck on assigned routes
• Pick up and deliver freight safely and on time
• Stay in communication with dispatch throughout your route
• Follow pickup, delivery, and route instructions
• Complete basic pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Keep delivery and trip information organized
• Report delays, truck issues, or delivery problems promptly
• Keep the truck clean and take care of company equipment
• Maintain professional communication with customers, facilities, dispatchers, and other contacts
• Follow applicable traffic, safety, and transportation requirements
• Be available for local and regional route assignments as needed

What We're Looking For

• At least 2 years of commercial driving experience
• Valid driver's license
• Box truck experience preferred
• Safe and responsible driver
• Dependable and punctual
• Good communication skills
• Comfortable communicating regularly with dispatch
• Able to follow routes and delivery instructions without constant supervision
• Comfortable using GPS and a smartphone for route and dispatch communication
• Professional attitude
• Takes care of equipment
• Able to work independently
• Must be able to meet any driving-record, background, safety, or other requirements applicable to the position
