BASIC JOB FUNCTION:

Join our team as a Box Truck Driver based in the Brooklyn/Queens area. We looking for an experienced, knowledgeable, safe driver.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Safely operate box truck to transport freight across multiple routes.
• Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks or hand tools, ensuring cargo safety and security.
• Verify delivery details, inspect vehicles before and after trips, and perform routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow designated routes accurately while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations; plan routes for efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with team lead/dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues during transit.
• Other duties as assigned

 QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or truck driver with knowledge of route driving and freight handling.
• Good driving record.
• Ability to load & unload freight safely using equipment such as pallet jacks, appliance dolly or roll-off mechanisms
• Strong understanding of safety procedures.
• Excellent navigation skills with the ability to follow GPS or route maps accurately.
• Minimum three years driving experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Lift 100 lbs. to waist height
• Must be able to maneuver objects up to 350lbs with moving equipment
• Push/Pull 75-100 lbs.
• Walk and stand for duration of shift
• Lift above head, bend, stoop

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

• Drivers License is required
