Box Welder Opportunity in Vancouver, WA
Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Box Welder role in Vancouver, WA. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding on box structures and fabricated metal components according to blueprints and specifications.
- Read and interpret welding symbols, technical drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, and compliance with company standards.
- Grind, clean, and prepare materials before and after welding operations.
- Measure and verify dimensions using tape measures, squares, calipers, and other precision tools.
- Collaborate with production team members to meet daily production goals and project deadlines.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Identify and report equipment issues, material defects, or quality concerns to supervisors.
- Assist with other fabrication and production duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience with MIG welding and metal fabrication required.
- Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, and work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods.
- Experience using measuring tools and fabrication equipment.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Welding certifications are a plus but not required.
