- Demonstrates experience and ability to oversee and orchestrate and perform day-to-day management of assigned delivery order projects that involve teams of consultants and functional experts and analysts.

- Responsible for scheduling meetings and any associated activities to include maintenance of calendar invitations, drafting and coordination of meeting minutes.
- Project Management Planning for brain injury, warfighter brain health, and related projects such as cognitive monitoring efforts:
- Acts as a subject matter expert in the planning and execution of a variety of projects related to WBHI, TAC, TBI/brain health space, and cognitive monitoring.
- Is responsible, in collaboration with the TBICoE lead, for planning and overseeing of projects from initiation to close (i.e. cradle to the grave) to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in line with PRS required quality. Develops plans giving significant considerations and monitoring of resources allocated to the project.
- Develops recommendations to TBICoE government commensurate with listed responsibilities to improve the management of TBICoE projects and programs. In line with training and experience, may make recommendations on project improvements that can reduce cost or increase effectiveness and efficiencies within the project.
- Monitors project progress and is independently able to keep stakeholders across several layers of leadership and subject matter expertise informed of the project progress, challenges, timelines, etc.
- In collaboration with the TBICoE government, will create an accurate timeline of steps required toward project completion to ensure tasks are finished on time, adhering to PRS required quality, and within the plan confines. Will remain aware of the status and progress of the various projects they oversee.
- Acts as integrator of multi-faceted viewpoints, needs, and information, to include but not limited to setting and managing staff and stakeholder expectations, developing a detailed project plan, defining the scope of the project and making recommendations on the assignment of team members to specific tasks.
- May be involved in a wide variety of projects, including but not limited to projects involving clinical recommendations and tools, dissemination and implementation projects, research projects, research dissemination/translation efforts, and communication projects.
- Tracks and analyzes project performance, including short and long- term goals. Measures performance by utilizing appropriate project management tools, techniques, and metrics.
- Anticipates delays or roadblocks that may impact the project and communicates impact with stakeholders. Actively problem solves through issues to keep the project on track and within the plan confines.
- Monitors resource allocation assigned to a project in order to keep the TBICoE lead aware of any risk or over burn of resources. Is responsible for assisting with coordination of internal resources and when required with third party vendors for the successful execution of the project(s).
- Evaluate plan efficiency and effectiveness to accurately identify successes, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) and lessons learned.
- Incorporates plan to track individual project lessons learned and emerging trends/themes across the organization to prevent similar issues in future projects and organizational approaches.

This position will be in support of the Traumatic Brain Injury Center of Excellence (TBICoE) in Silver Spring, MD. TBICoE is a branch of the Research Support Division in the Research and Engineering Directorate (R&E) of the Defense Health Agency (DHA). DHA is a Federal Program within the Department of Defense (DoD). TBICoE, known previously as the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC), has been congressionally mandated since 1992 and is currently a matrixed research, dissemination, and knowledge translation program, supporting warfighter brain health and readiness by advancing the traumatic brain injury state of the science and clinical standards.
TBICoE's mission to support the warfighter is executed through subject matter experts embedded across DHA facilities with expertise in TBI clinical research investigations, surveillance, clinical tool development and training, cognitive monitoring and assessment, and dissemination of TBI tools, products, and education/training materials to DoD medical personnel, service members, including Guard, Reserve, and operational medics/corpsmen, veterans with TBI, and families/caregivers of the warfighter.
