Machine Operator (Brake Press)

Pay: Starting at $19.00+/hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable Brake Press Operator to set up and operate brake press machinery to bend, form, and fabricate metal components according to blueprints and production specifications. The ideal candidate has experience reading technical drawings, performing quality inspections, and maintaining a safe, efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate brake press machines to bend and form metal parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production drawings.
• Select the appropriate tooling and machine settings for each job.
• Measure finished parts using calipers, tape measures, and other precision measuring tools.
• Perform quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances.
• Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain product quality.
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures.
• Meet daily production and quality goals.

Required Qualifications

• Previous brake press or metal fabrication experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using measuring instruments such as calipers and tape measures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, and work throughout the shift.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

• CNC brake press experience.
• Manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication experience.
• Forklift experience (preferred but not required).
• Knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety standards.
