2nd Shift/Full-Time: Monday through Thursday, 3:15pm to 1:15am
 
Minimal experience - WILL TRAIN starting at $20.50 per hour plus $1.00 shift differential for working 2nd shift.
Experienced operators starting around $24.00 to $27.00 per hour plus $1.00 shift differential for working 2nd shift.
 
Summary
Set up, adjust and operate press brakes to perform a wide variety of forming, bending and punching operations.  Note: To qualify as a Brake Press Operator, the employee must demonstrate proficiency with all pieces of brake press equipment.
 

Essential duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Set up punches, dies and gauges, adjust ram stroke to form materials to proper radius and angle.
  • Determine sequence of multiple pass operations to make required bends on complicated sections.
  • Use set up pieces for forming special shapes having single or compound radii and angle requirements.
  • Work from drawings, patterns, templates and specifications. 
  • Use scale, protractor, radii gauges, etc.
  • Identify parts with correct shop and part number.
  • Work is subject to first piece and process checks and final inspection.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED, HSED)
  • One to three months related experience and/or training preferred
