About the Opportunity

This role supports high-precision metal forming operations within a production-focused manufacturing environment. The Brake Press Operator is responsible for operating CNC press brake equipment, forming parts to blueprint specifications, and maintaining dimensional accuracy across production runs. The position includes machine-level programming, tooling selection, and quality verification responsibilities. The operator plays a direct role in maintaining production flow, meeting schedule commitments, and ensuring consistent part quality.

What Youll Do

Operate CNC press brake equipment to form metal components according to blueprint specifications
Perform set-up procedures for simple to moderately complex part runs
Select appropriate tooling based on material thickness, bend radius, geometry, and production requirements
Generate and adjust programs directly at the machine controller for applicable part runs
Inspect finished components using gauges, dial calipers, templates, and measurement tools
Verify dimensional accuracy through visual inspection and spot-check quality procedures
Interpret blueprints and shop drawings to determine part orientation and bend sequence
Make calculated dimensional and angle corrections during production runs
Record production quantities and inspection results within production systems
Perform routine machine operator preventative maintenance procedures
Follow established press brake standard operating procedures and safety protocols

What Youll Need

Minimum 3 years operating CNC press brake equipment in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints and shop drawings
Experience selecting and installing press brake tooling based on part specifications
Ability to perform machine-level program creation or modification for press brake operations
Experience using measurement tools including dial calipers, squares, gauges, and templates
Ability to perform mathematical calculations required for bend corrections and dimensional adjustments
High school diploma or equivalent
