Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Brake Press Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Tulsa. This position is responsible for operating press brake machinery to bend and form metal components according to engineering drawings and customer specifications while maintaining high standards for quality, productivity, and safety.
The ideal candidate has experience operating press brake equipment, can accurately read blueprints, and takes pride in producing precision metal components.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous experience operating a press brake or similar metal-forming equipment preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Experience using precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and tape measures
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable attendance and commitment to workplace safety
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Operate press brake machines to bend and form metal components according to specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine production requirements
Set up machine tooling, angles, measurements, and operating parameters
Monitor machine operation to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency throughout production
Make adjustments to machine settings to maintain required tolerances and product quality
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to verify compliance with specifications
Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards
Preferred Qualifications
Previous sheet metal fabrication experience
Experience setting up and operating CNC or hydraulic press brakes
Knowledge of fabrication processes and blueprint interpretation
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as needed
Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment while wearing required PPE
