Pay Range:$24–$32 per hour (based on experience)
The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up and operating press brake equipment to bend, notch, punch, form, roll, arc, or straighten metal plates, sheet metal, and structural shapes according to blueprints or sketches. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, blueprint reading, problem-solving skills, and the ability to identify quality and non-conforming products in a manufacturing environment.
Set up and operate press brake equipment for non-complex parts.
Set stops, change dies, and adjust machine components for single or multi-pass operations.
Follow dispatch reports and production direction.
Ensure efficient job completion with minimal rejects.
Assist in developing operators with less experience when needed.
Read and follow written procedures and blueprints.
Perform accurate measurements using tape measures, dial calipers, and Vernier calipers.
Convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.
Perform in-process inspections using proper instruments per quality standards.
Obtain first-piece approval from quality for every job.
Identify materials and inspect workpieces for defects.
Comply with ISO Quality Management System requirements.
High School Diploma or GED.
3+ years of press brake experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills and integrity.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
