As an equal-opportunity workplace and affirmative-action employer, we celebrate and support a diverse workplace for the benefit of all: our employees, customers and communities.ResponsibilitiesA Branch & Community Development Manager is responsible for strategic implementation of business development plans to drive branch growth and profitability, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to acquire and retain customers, and developing ongoing partnerships with internal and external business partners.The person in this position will lead by example in the areas of community involvement, calling efforts, and customer service, including administering the Bank's strategy for achieving the annual goals and objectives relating to Loan Growth, Deposit Growth, Financial Services, Credit Administration and Business Development. As the manager of the branch, this position will maintain oversight to ensure that the branch is in compliance with operating policies and procedures.Essential Responsibilities:Implement business development strategies, including calling efforts to promote the Bank's product & service solutions with emphasis on deposit growthActively participate in the community in a manner that reflects favorably on the Bank; keep the Bank's profile highly visible and professionalBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers, local businesses, and community organizationsMay approve or reject loan applications within individual lending authorityMay oversee a loan portfolio consisting of consumer and/or business customersMaintain a strong knowledge base of bank policies, procedures, loan products, pricing and use this knowledge to educate prospects on the advantages of Community BankRefer applicable loan opportunities to Bank business partnersCollaborate with other business partners & Bank affiliates to identify referral opportunitiesLead in the selection of new branch personnel and support scheduling to ensure branch coverageEnsure staff is trained to meet customer sales and service needs as well as branch objectivesDiscuss individual sales and customer service performance versus objectives with the appropriate supervisor on a frequent basisMonitor progress and results throughout the year with the District and Regional Managers ensuring that the branch is performing at a level consistent to achieve established growth, sales and profit objectivesMaintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all training requirements in a timely mannerPerform other duties as assigned or directedQualificationsEducation, Training and Requirements:Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field preferredSpecialized financial services training or equivalent banking experience preferredValid driver license and reliable transportationSkills:Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and interpersonal communicationStrong negotiation and sales abilitiesDemonstrates effective leadership qualitiesSound judgment and reasoningAbility to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilitiesThorough knowledge of the features and benefits of financial products and servicesWorking knowledge of regulatory policies and procedures regarding financial products and servicesProficient PC knowledgeMust be able to consistently demonstrate the Company's core values: Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and HumilityExperience:Six (6) years of sales/business development experience, including three (3) years of experience in related banking and/or lending positions preferredMinimum two (2) years supervisory experience requiredAll applicants must be 18 years of age or older.Other:This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System ("NMLS") registration under the terms of The Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (The SAFE Act). Candidates who do not currently hold NMLS registration must be able to successfully obtain and maintain registration upon hire.This position may require Notary Public licensing.Other Job InformationCompensation: Commensurate with experience plus potential for annual merit increase.
