Your Impact

The Branch Director of Clinical Services is responsible for the overall leadership, administration, and clinical operations of the hospice branch. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered hospice care in compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards. The Branch Director oversees clinical staff, maintains regulatory compliance, drives operational performance, and promotes a culture of compassion, excellence, and teamwork. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Direct and manage daily hospice clinical operations for the branch.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and support to clinical staff, including nurses, aides, social workers, chaplains, and other interdisciplinary team members.
  • Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate hospice services in accordance with physician orders, care plans, and organizational policies.
  • Monitor quality outcomes and implement performance improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation, Arizona state regulations, and applicable accreditation standards.
  • Oversee patient admissions, care coordination, case management, and discharge processes as appropriate.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, coaching, and staff development.
  • Manage branch staffing to ensure appropriate coverage and continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, referral sources, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other healthcare providers.
  • Monitor clinical documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Investigate and resolve patient, family, and staff concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support census growth and business development initiatives through relationship building and community engagement.
  • Maintain branch readiness for audits, surveys, and regulatory reviews.
  • Participate in budget management and resource utilization to support operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Arizona required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a healthcare-related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of hospice or home health leadership experience required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of hospice regulations, Medicare guidelines, and clinical best practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead interdisciplinary teams effectively.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid Arizona driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance.
