Pinnacle Recruitment Services is partnering with an established and growing commercial services organization to identify an experienced Branch Manager for its Bakersfield operation.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on operations leader who understands how to manage people, drive operational efficiency, maintain strong customer relationships, and take ownership of the financial performance of a business.
We are seeking someone who is equally comfortable reviewing operational metrics and financial performance as they are working alongside employees in the field. This opportunity is well-suited for a leader with experience in field services, transportation, equipment rental, construction services, industrial services, or other operationally intensive environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of daily branch operations, ensuring efficient service delivery, productivity, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, drivers, field personnel, and administrative employees.
- Manage branch financial performance, including revenue, profitability, operating expenses, labor costs, and budgets.
- Oversee scheduling, dispatch, route efficiency, staffing, and daily field operations.
- Coordinate fleet and equipment readiness, preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
- Monitor operational KPIs and implement improvements to increase efficiency, service quality, and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, resolve escalated concerns, and identify opportunities for business growth.
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee development.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Maintain a visible, hands-on presence throughout the operation, providing support and leadership wherever needed.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, branch management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience managing sizable teams, ideally including supervisors or team leads.
- Strong understanding of P&L management, budgeting, cost control, and operational performance.
- Experience overseeing field employees, transportation, fleet/equipment, logistics, or service operations.
- Proven ability to improve processes, develop employees, and drive operational results.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer relationship management skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with competing operational priorities.
- Experience in commercial services, equipment rental, construction, industrial operations, transportation, or similar industries preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $100,000–$130,000 annually, depending on experience
