Branch Manager - Freight Forwarding

Olive Recruiting is searching for an experienced Branch Manager to lead and grow our client's Dallas, Tx office. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of station operations, driving revenue growth, managing sales and customer relationships, and ensuring operational excellence in domestic and international freight forwarding (air & ocean). The ideal candidate is both a proven leader and a hands-on contributor who can balance people management, client development, and P&L oversight.

Location: Grapevine, TX
Full-time, direct hire with client
Schedule: Primarily office-based role, Monday–Friday, with client-facing and team leadership responsibilities. Occasional travel for customer visits, trade shows, and regional meetings.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and daily management of the Dallas, Tx station, including sales, operations, and customer service functions.
• Drive business development efforts by personally cultivating key accounts and supporting Account Executives in growing their books of business.
• Oversee operational execution for domestic and international shipments, ensuring compliance, profitability, and exceptional customer satisfaction.
• Manage station P&L, set budgets, monitor performance metrics, and ensure revenue and profit targets are achieved.
• Lead, mentor, and develop station staff (sales, operations, and administrative personnel) to build a high-performance culture.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic initiatives, pricing models, and market expansion opportunities.
• Ensure the station adheres to all corporate policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.
• Represent the station at client meetings, trade shows, and industry events as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 7+ years of freight forwarding experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or station management role.
• Strong track record of building and leading teams while achieving revenue and GP growth targets.
• Proven ability to manage a P&L and drive profitability in a competitive market.
• Experience across both domestic and international forwarding (air & ocean).
• Demonstrated sales acumen, with the ability to win and retain high-value accounts.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on accountability, ownership, and results.
• Proficiency with major CRMs/TMS platforms is a plus.
