A leading wholesale distributor of building materials is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Branch Manager to lead one of its operations in Central Arkansas.
This leadership role is responsible for the overall success of the branch, including sales growth, operational performance, customer satisfaction, profitability, and team development. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong background in building materials distribution who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven ability to build high-performing teams.
What You'll Do
Lead the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring excellence in customer service, warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
Drive profitable sales growth by partnering with the sales team, strengthening customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities.
Recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing team while creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Manage branch financial performance, including P&L, budgeting, expenses, and profitability.
Oversee inventory accuracy, purchasing, and stock levels to maximize customer service and inventory turns.
Monitor operational metrics and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and profitability.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and workplace safety standards.
Partner with senior leadership to execute strategic initiatives and achieve branch objectives.
Qualifications
Branch management or multi-department leadership experience within wholesale building materials, distribution, or a related industry.
Demonstrated success growing sales while managing branch operations and financial performance.
Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities with customers and employees.
Experience managing inventory, logistics, and warehouse operations.
Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze financial and operational performance.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business management software.
