    Position Summary 

    The Branch Manager leads all aspects of a CTTECH ASME-certified tank trailer repair facility with responsibility for safety, operations, regulatory compliance, commercial development, customer satisfaction, sales, team leadership, and financial performance. This leadership role requires strategic oversight, operational discipline, commercial acumen, branch-level accountability, and a strong focus on safety, growth, customer service, continuous improvement, and team development within the tank trailer repair business. 

    Essential Functions

    • Lead daily branch operations, shop activities, scheduling, workflow, repair order movement, and operational execution. 
    • Ensure timely, accurate, and quality-focused trailer repair and maintenance work consistent with CTTECH expectations. 
    • Manage inventory support processes and coordinate parts procurement to support shop productivity and customer commitments. 
    • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures, data-driven KPIs, lean practices, and operational process discipline. 
    • Maintain facility infrastructure, equipment readiness, and capital assets to support long-term branch sustainability. 
    • Champion a Safety First culture by leading branch-level implementation of safety programs, EHS&S expectations, audits, hazard communication, and incident prevention practices. 
    • Ensure branch compliance with ASME, DOT, state, local, customer, environmental, and applicable repair facility requirements. 
    • Serve as a branch-level point of contact for internal and external audits, including R-stamp and CT-related inspections and repairs as applicable. 
    • Conduct or support regular safety training, drills, inspections, and corrective follow-up to support a zero-incident culture. 
    • Supervise, mentor, coach, and develop shop technicians, administrative employees, service personnel, parts personnel, and other branch staff as assigned. 
    • Conduct performance reviews, support training, reinforce accountability, and promote teamwork across the branch. 
    • Communicate with customers regarding service needs, repair timing, costs, approvals, concerns, and customer satisfaction matters. 
    • Resolve customer issues, promote positive customer relationships, and support commercial development and branch growth opportunities. 
    • Assist with and supervise administrative processes, including estimates, costs, invoicing, work order records, labor hours, parts usage, and service documentation. 
    • Provide branch performance reports to management and communicate operational, financial, safety, customer, and staffing updates as required. 
    • Own branch P&L performance and manage to annual financial targets, including revenue, gross margin, EBITDA contribution, expense control, and operational efficiency. 
    • Develop annual budget forecasts, capital investment plans, productivity plans, and branch improvement priorities. 
    • Control operational expenses through labor optimization, vendor negotiations, inventory discipline, and process improvement. 
    • Promote CTTECH values, branch accountability, employee development, safety leadership, continuous improvement, and customer-focused problem solving. 
    • Follow company policies, customer site requirements, branch procedures, and all applicable safety, environmental, regulatory, and confidentiality expectations. 

    Non-Essential / Marginal Functions 

    • Support hiring, recruiting, onboarding, training, succession planning, compensation input, and employee development activities as requested by HR or leadership. 
    • Participate in operations reviews, customer meetings, acquisition or integration support, facility projects, vendor reviews, and continuous improvement activities. 
    • Support sales, account management, and regional business development efforts when directed by leadership. 
    • Assist with special projects, branch expansion planning, new service offerings, and capital improvement initiatives. 

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

    • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and decision-making skills. 
    • Technical knowledge of tank trailer systems, repair procedures, shop workflow, and service operations. 
    • Working knowledge of ASME, DOT, R-stamp, CT-related inspection and repair requirements, and branch-level regulatory compliance expectations. 
    • Ability to manage safety, operations, customer service, labor performance, financial performance, compliance, and employee development within a repair facility. 
    • Commercial acumen and ability to support sales, customer retention, customer satisfaction, and branch growth. 
    • Strong financial acumen related to revenue, gross margin, EBITDA contribution, labor optimization, vendor negotiations, budgets, forecasts, capital planning, and expense control. 
    • Ability to use shop management software, ERP systems, reporting tools, Microsoft Office, and basic computer applications. 
    • Ability to interpret KPIs, performance reports, productivity data, customer requirements, work order information, estimates, labor hours, and parts usage reports. 
    • Ability to lead teams through change, establish accountability, mentor employees, and reinforce safety, quality, and teamwork expectations. 
    • Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment in employee, customer, financial, and operational matters. 

    Required Qualifications 

    • Three or more years of experience in shop, branch, operations, service management, or related leadership role required, preferably in trailer, tank trailer, heavy vehicle, fleet, industrial maintenance, or repair operations. 
    • Strong leadership and organizational skills required. 
    • Technical knowledge of trailer systems and repair procedures required. 
    • Proficiency in shop management software, basic computer systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications required. 
    • Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States. 
    • Valid driver’s license required. 
    • Ability to pass company-required background check, drug screen, pre-employment, safety, and site-access requirements. 
    • Ability to work in a shop, office, yard, customer-facing, and branch operational environment and comply with all PPE and safety requirements. 
    • Ability to perform the physical requirements listed in this job description, with or without reasonable accommodation. 

    Preferred Qualifications 

    • Proven leadership experience in the tank trailer repair industry. 
    • Experience managing an ASME-certified tank trailer repair facility or related regulated repair operation. 
    • Experience with EHS&S programs, branch safety audits, hazard communication, R-stamp activity, CT-related inspections and repairs, and regulatory audits. 
    • Experience owning or supporting branch P&L, revenue, gross margin, EBITDA contribution, annual budgets, forecasts, and capital investment plans. 
    • Experience implementing SOPs, KPIs, lean practices, ERP systems, and process discipline. 
    • Commercial development, customer relationship management, sales support, or service growth experience. 
    • Experience supervising technicians, administrative staff, service writers, parts personnel, and shop leadership roles.
