King City Gardens is seeking a creative, driven, and culturally connected Brand & Performance Marketing
Specialist to support the growth of our cultivation brand through social media, content creation, digital
marketing, and brand storytelling.
This role will focus heavily on building and maintaining the public-facing presence of King City Gardens
and The Garden across digital platforms while supporting product launches, campaign execution,
community engagement, and performance marketing initiatives.
The ideal candidate is equal parts creative marketer, content creator, and brand builder, someone who
understands how to create engaging content while also thinking strategically about audience growth,
engagement, and overall brand performance.
This position will work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager and Marketing Director to help execute
marketing initiatives that strengthen brand awareness, customer engagement, and overall company
growth.
Requirements
Core Responsibilities
Social Media Management
Manage day-to-day social media activity across platforms including Instagram, Facebook,
LinkedIn, and emerging channels
Build and maintain monthly content calendars
Schedule and publish organic social content
Monitor trends, platform updates, and industry conversations
Manage community engagement, comments, and messaging
Ensure all content aligns with brand voice and compliance standards
Content Creation
Capture photo and video content onsite
Create short-form video content including Reels and TikTok-style edits
Support product photography and promotional shoots
Assist with creative asset development for campaigns and launches
Maintain organized content libraries and assets
Brand Marketing
Support product launch campaigns
Assist with campaign ideation and creative execution
Develop educational and lifestyle-focused brand content
Help maintain brand consistency across all customer touchpoints
Support community partnerships, collaborations, and events
Performance Marketing Support
Assist with social campaigns creative and coordination
Support landing page and campaign asset development
Monitor and report on social and campaign performance metrics
Help identify audience growth opportunities and engagement trends
Collaborate on app, loyalty, and digital growth initiatives
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with retail operations teams
Coordinate with vendors, photographers, and creative partners
Support store activations and event marketing efforts
Assist with campaign execution timelines and deliverables
Qualifications
Preferred Experience
2–5 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, brand marketing, or content creation
Experience in cannabis, retail, lifestyle, or consumer packaged goods industries preferred
Strong understanding of social media trends and platform best practices
Experience creating short-form video content
Familiarity with Meta Business Suite and social scheduling tools
Basic understanding of performance marketing and analytics
Skills & Abilities
