Description
Designer Alliance is a designer-led platform built around authentic, original design in the era of AI, with lighting as its primary commercial medium. It is not a licensing program, not a mass-market label, and not a showroom concept. It is acurated alliance of influential designers, that brings together cultural authority, original product, storytelling, PR, and digital commerce into a single durable institution. Bellacor and Capitol Lighting are the distribution engines.
As Brand Manager, you'll own how Designer Alliance is experienced in the marketplace-from the first impression to the final purchase. Working closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, you'll shape the brand's voice, drive product launches, grow awareness, and help transform great design into commercial success. Most brand jobs hand you a brand that already exists and ask you to maintain it. This one asks you to build . You'll have a marquee designer's name, a real product line, a commerce engine already running, and a company behind you that manufactures and sells at scale. What's missing is the person to make the brand matter. If that's the kind of blank canvas you've been looking for, this is it.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
- The brand in market. You own how Designer Alliance looks, sounds, and feels across the website, product pages, campaigns, social, and everywhere a customer meets it. You set the standard and hold it.
- Bringing product to life. You turn a new collection into a story and a sales engine: positioning, launch, product copy, imagery direction, and the go-to-market plan, working hand in hand with product and e-commerce.
- Commerce on Bellacor. You partner with the digital and merchandising teams on how the line is presented, discovered, and sold online, with a real focus on traffic, conversion, and revenue.
- Marketing that moves the number. You plan and run campaigns and content across digital, email, and social, and you judge them by what they do for the business, not by how they look in a deck.
- The growth story in data. You live in the analytics, know what's working, and make the call on what to do more of and what to kill.
- Brand partnerships and collaborations. You help shape and support designer and partner activations that extend the brand, working alongside senior leadership and our outside PR and creative partners.
- The creative pipeline. You direct internal and outside creative resources to produce work on brand, on time, and on budget, the way a small brand has to operate.
WHO YOU ARE- A builder. You've taken a concept or a young brand and grown it, and you're energized by ambiguity rather than stalled by it.
- Fluent in home, design, or lifestyle product, and you care about craftsmanship, materials, and how good design earns its place.
- Commercially sharp. You connect brand work to traffic, conversion, and sales, and you're comfortable owning the outcome.
- Deep in e-commerce and digital merchandising, ideally across DTC and major retail partners.
- A strong creative eye paired with real execution, whether you came up through creative direction, brand, or product marketing.
- Modern in your toolkit, including how AI tools speed up creative and campaign work without cheapening it.
- Self-directed and low-ego, able to run independently while pulling in marketing, product, and e-commerce as true partners.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree a plus, not a requirement.
- 8+ years in brand, creative direction, or product marketing, with real ownership of brand growth. We care more about what you've built than the exact title.
- A track record launching products or brands and growing them, preferably in home, design, furniture, or a comparable premium category.
- Hands-on e-commerce and digital merchandising experience, ideally including DTC and retail partners such as Amazon, Wayfair, or similar.
- Exposure to licensing, designer, or talent-led brand partnerships is a strong plus.
- Comfort with analytics and the tools that support it, and with modern creative and AI-assisted workflows.
