    Position Summary

    Our biotech client is seeking an experienced Brand Planning Lead & Launch Readiness Lead to support enterprise brand planning initiatives for the 2027-2029 planning horizon while laying the foundation for a successful commercial launch.

    This individual will partner closely with Commercial Leadership, Marketing, Medical, Market Access, Regulatory, and other cross-functional stakeholders to facilitate strategic brand planning, drive organizational alignment, and transition planning efforts into launch readiness. The ideal candidate combines strategic brand planning expertise with hands-on launch planning experience and thrives in fast-paced, collaborative biotech or pharmaceutical environments.

    This is a highly visible role requiring exceptional communication, executive presentation, facilitation, and organizational skills.


    Key Responsibilities

    Brand Planning

    • Lead and facilitate the annual brand planning process across commercial functions.
    • Translate brand strategy into actionable functional objectives, tactical plans, and investment priorities.
    • Drive alignment across Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Commercial Operations, and other key stakeholders.
    • Develop Executive Committee presentations and supporting materials for leadership reviews and approvals.
    • Create concise communications and planning materials for commercial teams and new stakeholders.
    • Capture lessons learned throughout the planning cycle and recommend process improvements to strengthen future enterprise brand planning efforts.
    • Support enterprise-level brand planning processes across multiple planning horizons (2027-2029).

    Launch Readiness

    As brand planning activities conclude, transition into launch readiness planning by:

    • Developing high-level launch marketing roadmaps and key milestone plans.
    • Building an integrated Day 0 readiness plan across Marketing, MLR, Commercial Operations, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and other cross-functional teams.
    • Partnering with the MLR Coordinator to develop and maintain review schedules supporting launch timelines.
    • Coordinating cross-functional launch planning activities, dependencies, risks, and critical path milestones.
    • Developing Day 0 launch scenarios and supporting Minimum Viable Launch (MVL) asset plans.
    • Providing flexible PMO leadership to drive execution, manage risks, and maintain launch readiness across the organization.

    Required Qualifications

    • 8+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology commercial experience.
    • Demonstrated experience leading strategic Brand Planning initiatives.
    • Experience supporting commercial product launches and launch readiness activities.
    • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercialization and cross-functional planning.
    • Experience developing executive-level presentations and facilitating leadership meetings.
    • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
    • Excellent project leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Experience managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Biotechnology experience strongly preferred.
    • Experience supporting first commercial launches or emerging biotech organizations.
    • Familiarity with Day 0 launch planning and commercialization frameworks.
    • Experience coordinating MLR review processes.
    • Experience facilitating strategic planning workshops and cross-functional planning sessions.
    • PMP certification or formal project management experience is a plus.
