Job Description
MU Housing provides a world-class housing experience that engages residents within an innovative and educational environment that supports best on-campus housing practices and promotes success.
This position is designed to be operations-centered during the academic year break periods. This appointment requires commitment from students to remain available and responsive during a period of reduced staffing and commit to little to no travel during the designated break periods (e.g. Thanksgiving, Winter Break). This position primarily focuses on supporting desk operations, conducting facility walk-throughs, and performing room inspections across MU residential halls.
Housing Operations & Facility Assistants are a consistent presence in the halls during academic breaks. They are responsible for setting and role modeling expectations by abiding by and enforcing Housing and University guidelines and procedures. They must have a thorough understanding of emergency protocols and operational procedures.
MU Housing is a 365/24/7 operation, and the presence of Housing Operations & Facility Assistants is required to provide exceptional services and experiences for our residents during fall, winter, and spring break. This position will ONLY be scheduled during breaks, therefore requiring availability over academic break periods.

Housing Operations & Facility Assistants are expected and required to participate in the following:
Campus operations are closed on December 25 and January 1.
Anticipated Hiring Range
$16.40 per hour, paid on a bi-weekly basis
Staff will provide essential hall presence through desk operations, facility checks, and inspections during break periods, committing to little to no travel during these breaks to ensure essential coverage.
Shift
This position may require evening and weekend hours supporting activities and programs within the department. Occasionally division and campus projects may require additional hours outside of your normal schedule.
Minimum Qualifications
To be eligible for a student title, an individual must be enrolled at the University of Missouri. Enrollment in the summer session is not required if the student was enrolled in the Spring semester and is pre-enrolled for the Fall semester. Selection is contingent upon results of a review with the Office of Institutional Equity, Office of Student Accountability & Support, Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, previous MU appointment history, and reference checks
