Breast Cancer Navigator- Oncology Administration Description:
Interacts and Communicates with breast cancer patients. Interact with physicians, other hospital personnel, and departments that are involved with the care of cancer patients. Develop knowledge of and working relationship with community resources that aid breast cancer patients. Track interventions and outcomes. Have a background and familiarity with personal computers; possess the ability to communicate orally and in written form; work effectively in a team environment; have excellent interpersonal skills; possess knowledge of community resources, hospital processes, structure, and function.
Good physical and mental health. Must be able to bend, lift, push without limitation, using good body mechanics. Must possess physical stamina, be able to sit for long periods, and walk some distance. Must possess visual acuity with corrective lenses and able to read written materials. Also, must possess good hearing ability with corrective aids to hear normal speech and telephone voices. Must be able to work under stressful conditions and situations. Must be able to work under direct supervision or independently as required.
Education/Experience:
Degree in Community Counseling, Nursing, Psychology, or other related field. One year of oncology experience preferred.
