Piedmont Rockdale is a 161-bed, acute care, not-for profit community hospital in Conyers that has provided compassionate, patient-centered care to Rockdale County and surrounding communities since 1954.
We offer 24-hour emergency services, including interventional cardiology, critical care, obstetrics, and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). We are a Primary Stroke Center with on-site neurohospitalists. In addition to traditional medical and surgical services, we proudly provide subspecialized care from fellowship-trained providers in advanced gastroenterology and medical and surgical oncology as well as colorectal, breast, thoracic, orthopedic and robotic surgery.
Responsibilities:
Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists. Qualifications: Education
- Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program Required
Work Experience
- 2 years of experience Required
Licenses and Certifications
- ARDMS registered in at least 2 specialties Upon Hire Required and
- BLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
- RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist) Preferred or
- RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist RVT (Registered Vascular Specialist) Preferred
