    How You'll Contribute to Our Partner's Success:

    As a Poultry Service Technician, you will play an essential hands-on role supporting both company-owned and contract breeder farms. This position is responsible for providing technical guidance on all aspects of bird management, ensuring optimal flock performance, compliance with welfare standards, and alignment with company production goals.


    You’ll work closely with a fully developed and integrated team to accomplish goals.


    • Provide technical support and oversight for flock operations, including bird placements, feed deliveries, vaccinations, flock movements, and supervision
    • Conduct regular on-farm evaluations to assess flock performance, health, and compliance with production standards
    • Manage feed adjustments based on flock data and energy requirements (Kcals) to optimize production outcomes
    • Perform weekly weighing of flocks prior to lay and monitor flock development toward genetic potential
    • Assist with flock selections, counts, vaccinations, and bird transfers within the breeder department
    • Support the onboarding and training of new contract farms to ensure compliance with production and biosecurity standards
    • Collect and submit biological samples (e.g., cloacal swabs) per veterinary and regulatory requirements
    • Gather data for accurate accounting and producer compensation related to flock performance
    • Maintain adherence to biosecurity, animal welfare, and food safety standards


    Qualifications

    • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in animal science, agriculture, or related field preferred
    • 2+ years of experience in poultry, livestock, or agricultural operations
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
    • Ability to manage multiple farm sites and coordinate weekly schedules efficiently
