ResponsibilitiesApply structural engineering and detailing techniquesWork on projects that typically include bridge (steel plate girder, and prestress concrete, box culvert, and interchange design for highway projectsSelect standard bridge engineering/design procedures, develop structural details using specialized structural design and analysis software, and perform structural load calculations and assist with geometric layout and quantity developmentReview, assign work and/or check design calculations, estimates, and specifications produced by junior engineers and EITsPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Structural Engineering.A minimum of 3 years' experience in bridge designRequired QualificationsBachelor's degreePrevious experience in bridge designRequires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.
