The Bridge Superintendent will lead and oversee complex bridge and heavy civil construction projects throughout New Jersey and the surrounding region. This individual will be responsible for managing daily field operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.

Description
- Oversee all on-site bridge construction and rehabilitation activities from project initiation through completion.
- Manage field crews, subcontractors, equipment, and material resources to ensure efficient project execution.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved.
- Enforce company safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA, state, and local regulations.
- Coordinate daily activities with Project Managers, Engineers, Inspectors, Owners, and Regulatory Agencies.
- Conduct site inspections to verify quality standards, contract compliance, and project specifications are being met.
- Review and interpret plans, specifications, schedules, and contract documents.
- Identify and proactively resolve construction, logistical, and scheduling challenges.
- Monitor production rates, labor performance, and project costs to maximize efficiency and profitability.
- Lead project meetings, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, progress updates, and project documentation.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company standards, client requirements, and industry best practices.

Profile
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Superintendent or Senior Foreman managing bridge construction or heavy civil infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience delivering DOT, municipal, transportation, or public infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of bridge construction methods, structural concrete, steel erection, excavation, utility coordination, and roadway work.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large field teams and multiple subcontractors simultaneously.
- Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations, construction safety practices, and quality control procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction schedules.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities with the capacity to build relationships across project teams.
- Experience with NJDOT projects is highly preferred.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
