Broadband Project Manager

Position Summary
The Broadband Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of broadband infrastructure projects from initiation through closeout. This role coordinates cross-functional teams, manages schedules and budgets, and serves as the primary point of contact for clients to ensure successful deployment of fiber and broadband network solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple broadband and fiber deployment projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery on schedule and within budget
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients, engineering teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
- Coordinate permitting, easements, and regulatory compliance activities
- Oversee design, construction, and implementation phases of broadband network projects
- Track project progress, risks, and issues; implement mitigation strategies as needed
- Facilitate project meetings, status reporting, and client communications
- Ensure documentation, records, and closeout packages are complete and accurate
- Support procurement and contractor management activities
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and quality requirements
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Telecommunications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience managing broadband, fiber, telecommunications, or utility infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated experience with outside plant (OSP) design and construction processes
- Strong project scheduling and budgeting skills
- Excellent client-facing communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Experience with rural broadband or grant-funded deployment programs (e.g., BEAD, RDOF)
- Knowledge of fiber network architecture (FTTH, middle mile, backhaul)
- Familiarity with permitting and right-of-way processes
