(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Job Summary
Executes professionally developed, high-quality video content that is on-brand and strategic. Collaborates with producers to achieve a quality product in support of Universitys brand, marketing efforts and enterprise-wide projects.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -
Serves as primary producer for KSU football, basketball, and baseball broadcasts on ESPN+ and/or other streaming platforms
Supports department leader as a contact for all aspects of Kennesaw State Universitys live broadcast productions
Supports production for all shows, press conferences, postgame highlight packages, pre-produced and live content to be played on in-venue video boards and digital platforms
Maintains communication with team and other stakeholders to coordinate the timely delivery of videos and project files
Participates in creative and design meetings, contributing ideas and feedback
Collaborates with university personnel and the local community
Develops storyboards and writes scripts for broadcast and creative media
Assists in crewing and organizing personnel for broadcast schedule
Assists in the communication of payment schedule to the business office for supplemental staff
Assists in activities related to live broadcasts on ESPN+ and the KSU Owl Network, including overseeing broadcast production of assigned sports teams and/or programs
Assists in equipment inventory, storage, and maintenance
May manage student assistant and supplemental staff
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelors degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted drivers license
Required Experience
One (1) year related experience in film, TV, or journalism video production covering various styles of video creation.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Preferred Experience
Previous experience in higher education

ABILITIES
Able to adhere to editorial guidelines and best practices
Able to handle both audio and video in the field
Able to work individually or within a crew to complete a production assignment
Able to deal with multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
KNOWLEDGE
Familiar with digital cinematography techniques
Familiar with non-linear video editors and other industry standard software
Demonstrated understanding of proper workflows including storage, transcoding, pulling selects
Strong knowledge of lighting techniques
Strong understanding of storytelling ¿ visually and narratively
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud, audio sweetening, color correction, transcoding, QCing final products and managing deliverables
Expert proficiency with RED and Canon camera systems
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
