The Freight Broker is responsible for developing and managing a book of business — prospecting shippers, quoting freight, negotiating rates, building a reliable carrier network, and covering loads from tender through delivery. The role carries individual targets for gross margin, load count, and customer growth, and requires clean, accurate record-keeping for every shipment, rate, and interaction.
This position runs day-to-day inside DIVCO, our in-house brokerage and TMS platform. In addition to standard brokerage duties, the broker will provide structured feedback to the product team, pilot new features before broader rollout, and contribute to training materials as the platform and team grow.
A key focus for this position is helping to drive sales and revenue for Easley Transportation and finding ways for us to generate new business, as well as, maintain existing client relationships.
Qualifications Prior freight brokerage, 3PL, or carrier sales experience preferred
Working knowledge of truckload pricing, lane dynamics, and day-to-day load coverage
Familiarity with a TMS (McLeod, Aljex, Revenova, Turvo, or similar)
Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to give clear, written product feedback
