The Senior Environmental Employment (SEE) Program offers unique opportunities in Scientific, Technical, and Administrative / Office support for individuals age 55 and over and per EPA Policy applicants must be US Citizen to support the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) through a grant administered program through National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions). This is a unique program where your talents, expertise and experience will truly be valued. The EPA provides a wonderful work atmosphere, and you'll be working side-by-side with EPA staff that are doing important work every day. Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 year(s) of experience in Related experience gathering, managing, and analyzing Geographic Information System (GIS) data can be substituted for education. OR BA/BS Degree in Related to the duties of the position

  • Professional experience in one of more of the following fields is desirable: communications, public relations/affairs, marketing, real estate, land use/urban planning, data analytics and/or mapping/GIS. Note: GIS mapping software skills are not specifically required as mapping will be performed using the EPA user interface.
  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS SharePoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook, MS OneDrive, MS Publisher, Adobe
  • Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, Publisher)
Duties:

Work with EPA staff and stakeholders to integrate Brownfields assessment, cleanup, and reuse data, images and reports into the Agency's geospatial and data visualization programs to communicate results and inform planning efforts. Identify data gaps, develop solutions, and generate tailored communication materials. Independently research, develop strategies, and advise the Brownfields Team on effective methods for data visualization.

  • Creates training material, reference guides, standard operating procedures, and guidance documents.   25%
  • Maintains and organizes the Brownfields and Revitalization SharePoint site.   25%
  • Writes and prepares case studies and success stories for publication. Research and workdirectly with stakeholders to enhance data visualization tools to meet multi-agency needs   25%
  • Collects data and documentation on post-Brownfields grant accomplishments to supportnational targets/measures, including remediation and redevelopment funding and jobsleveraged.   15%
  • Works with Brownfields staff to get information, including Targeted BrownfieldsAssessment data, into tracking databases.   10%

  • Travel Requirements: Very limited travel - probably no more than 2-3 optional days per year (at most)
