BSA / Quality Engineer Consumer Lending

Location: Seneca One, Buffalo, New york /onsite 4 days , 1 day remote

This isn't simply a QA automation position.

The candidate needs to understand what they're testing and why within the consumer lending domain. They are modernizing a legacy ACAPS/mainframe environment, moving from XML-based services REST/JSON services, and need someone who can validate the new services while maintaining confidence in the existing lending functionality.

Ideal Candidate in One Sentence:
A technically strong QA/Quality Engineer with deep consumer lending experience who can understand BA requirements, test legacy mainframe/ACAPS functionality, work with .NET and APIs, and build automation to improve regression coverage during the bank's modernization initiative.

Role Overview
" Hybrid Business Systems Analyst (BSA) / Quality Engineer
" Supports a major bank initiative migrating services from REST-based APIs to JSON-based APIs
" Responsible for both traditional BA activities and end-to-end testing/automation

Top Skills Needed
1. Consumer Lending Origination domain experience REQUIRED
2. Strong BSA experience requirements, solution analysis, test case design
3. Strong functional, system integration and regression testing
4. Proven experience improving test coverage through automation
5. Postman experience
6. Experience testing/automating with:
o Mainframe
o .NET applications
7. Ability to work across both functional/business and technical testing activities
8. ACAPS experience highly desirable/bonus
9. Approximately 6+ years of experience

What They Will Accomplish
The person will help the existing BSA complete the significant amount of testing required for the migration initiative. A major focus will be automating existing manual regression test cases so the bank can reuse that automation for future releases and similar initiatives.

Why the Role Is Open
This is staff augmentation, not a backfill. The team already has one BSA and needs another person because the migration touches a large number of services and requires extensive testing.
