Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a BSN Assistant Professor on a part-time basis. This role involves facilitating student learning and providing effective instruction across clinicals, labs, and simulated clinical experiences (SCE). The successful candidate will work to ensure students meet course competencies and will be responsible for supervising and evaluating students in various educational settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective instruction in accordance with course guidelines.
  • Supervise, debrief, and assess student performance in clinical and lab settings.
  • Maintain communication with students through email, phone, and personal meetings.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of attendance and student records.
  • Participate actively in faculty meetings, professional development, and campus activities.
  • Adhere to and promote compliance with safety regulations and academic policies.
  • Assist in strategic planning and implementation of instructional improvements.
  • Ensure clinical assignments align with both student educational needs and facility requirements.

Qualifications

Masters in nursing required completed

3 years bedside

  • 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse with current and unencumbered licensure
  • Masters of Science in Nursing Degree Required
  • Able to meet the faculty requirements set by Board of Registered Nursing in the state in which you will work
  • Experience which demonstrates: Current knowledge of nursing practice; ability to mentor students; strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A documented background in educational methodology consistent with teaching assignments including but not limited to education theory and practice, or current concepts relative to specific subjects he or she will be teaching, or current clinical practice experience, or distance education techniques and delivery
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Products, especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and other MS office products as needed
