BT Production Group Lead 

Summary 

A BT Production Group Lead will assist the BT Supervisor with the day-to-day functions of BlazeTech. They plan, organize, and recommend strategies in ensuring that the product is developed successfully, in accordance with all specifications. 

Responsibilities 

  • Identify individual areas of growth for team members and coach, lead, motivate and reward. 
  • Report team development and activities to management staff and submitting ideas to increase productivity of the teams. 
  • Ensure work is performed safely, including that team members wear prescribed safety equipment, and use tools safely. 
  • With the supervisor's help, develop and carryout training plans for employees. 
  • Ensure jobs are running as necessary to meet proper cycle time and/or product quality specifications. 
  • Develop (with Supervisor) a daily schedule for product & assign manning to meet these needs. 
  • Fill-in as supervisor when Supervisor is absent. 
  • Work with other members of management and the HR department to coordinate the appropriate provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). 
  • Provide proper care and maintenance of company property, including but not limited to office, computer, and telephone equipment. 
  • Other duties as required. 

Qualifications/Skills: 

  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience  
  • Prior experience in team leadership and development preferred. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required. 
  • Solid computer skills strongly preferred, ideally with intermediate skills in Excel and Outlook. 
  • Requires some physical ability such as moderate lifting, working on ladders and in lift platforms, working outside, carrying equipment weighing 50 lbs. or more. 
  • Flexible with work schedule and assignment to meet demand and or schedule. 
  • Requires possessing a valid driver's license. 

Education and Licensing 

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required  
  • Associates Degree in manufacturing or a related field preferred
