BTE Modification, Pack & Ship Technician

The BTE Modification Pack and Ship Technician is responsible for assembling options for a new BTE hearing aid, invoicing, packing and shipping the order. This role ensures hearing aids meet quality and performance standards before being shipped to customers. This position supports daily manufacturing operations by adhering to standardized procedures, maiting a clean work environment, and ensuring all products meet strict regulatory and company quality requirements. This position requires working on-site in our Somerset, NJ office 5 days per week from 11:30am-8:00pm.

• Assemble hearing aids using small tools and equipment.
• Install speakers, domes, battery door markers, battery door replacement and tamper resistant battery door replacement to hearing aids
• Follow detailed instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and production schedules.
• Perform basic inspections to verify component quality and ensure proper function.
• Identify and report issues such as defects, equipment malfunctions, or process deviations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S and GMP standards.
• Support team productivity by participating in cross-training and continuous improvement activities.
• Meet assigned production goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Comply with all safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Print pick tickets specifically BTE Modification orders and retrieve corresponding parts from inventory in designated areas in the stockroom.
• Use Navision software and scanners to process all BTE New, Loss and Damage Modification service orders.
• Accurately follow company policies and standard operating procedures during the pack and ship process.
• Verify package contents and safely pack items into shipping boxes.
• Seal, label, and prepare packages for shipment according to shipping SOP guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Lead, Supervisors and/or Manager.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience necessary; prior experience in assembly, manufacturing, or electronics is a plus.
• Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to work with small parts and tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn production and testing software.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or flexible shifts as required.

  The pay range for this position is expected to be between $20.00- to $22.65 hourly; however, while the salary range is effective as of the date of this posting, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including but not limited to experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as bonus, commissions, or discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
