This is a temp/contract position with the possibility of full-time employment with full benefits.
Analyze financial data to detect discrepancies and ensure fiscal accuracy.
Prepare budget forecasts, journal entries, and budget transfers in accordance with GAAP and government policies.
Monitor annual operating budgets and produce monthly financial reports; identify anomalies and recommend corrective actions.
Manage revenue and grant accounting, including fee contracts, asset auction/disposal revenue, and timely deposits; resolve posting discrepancies with Treasurer/Auditor offices.
Support debt and funding analyses and ensure compliance with funding restrictions and policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
Minimum 3 years of experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, or FP&A.
Strong proficiency with spreadsheets (advanced Excel).
Experience with financial systems such as PeopleSoft and reporting tools such as Power BI preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail.
Professional certification such as CPA, IPMA, CMFOA, or GFOA.
Prior county or local government finance experience strongly preferred.
Experience coordinating with Treasurer and Auditor offices.
Professional office environment; regular computer use (>25%); may require occasional travel to other offices.
