Summary
Budget Analyst (Levels I-IV) supports the Public Health Department in the planning, preparation, analysis, and oversight of departmental budgets. Depending on the level, this role may range from performing professional entry-level budget work to serving as a senior resource responsible for complex analysis, cross-division coordination, and project leadership. Analysts at all levels contribute to supporting departments, analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring compliance with County policy and budgetary guidelines. Progression through levels is based on a combination of experience, performance, demonstration of required competencies, and departmental needs.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities with the exception of a level IV Budget Analyst.

Preferred Requirements:
Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
Experience in local government finance or public administration.
Advanced analytics or system-enhancement experience (higher levels).

While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent may be required to bend, hear, keyboard, sit, stand, talk, work alone and with others, and work overtime. Must be able to lift to 25lbs.
