Position Summary

Teksouth is seeking a Budget Analyst to support Financial Management operations. This role focuses on budget formulation, execution, and analysis across Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) programs.

The selected candidate will play a key role in delivering financial insights, supporting Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) activities, and ensuring effective resource management across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform budget formulation, execution, and analysis across multiple appropriations
  • Develop and track funding packages, commitments, obligations, and expenditures
  • Conduct financial analysis using data from multiple DoD systems and reporting tools
  • Support PPBE activities, including POM, BES, and budget submission processes
  • Monitor program execution and provide variance analysis against planned performance
  • Assist leadership with funding decisions, cost estimates, and program prioritization
  • Prepare financial reports, briefings, and status updates for leadership and stakeholders
  • Support audit readiness efforts, including FIAR compliance and internal controls
  • Identify and resolve financial discrepancies and system-related issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting

Skills Required

  • Experience supporting DoD Financial Management operations (Air Force preferred)
  • Knowledge of PPBE processes and federal budgeting principles
  • Familiarity with financial systems such as DEAMS, CRIS, JOCAS, DTS, or similar
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to communicate effectively with leadership and stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
