Budget Analyst (Management Analyst I/II)

What You'll Do

As our next Budget Analyst, you'll play a key role in building and maintaining the City's financial foundation, including:

• Preparing the annual operating budget and Five‑Year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP)
• Designing and producing the City's annual budget book using Adobe InDesign
• Maintaining and supporting the City's budget management system, providing troubleshooting, user training, and documentation
• Analyzing revenue and expenditure trends and preparing financial reports, dashboards, and presentations
• Coordinating budget adjustments, transfers, and amendments
• Maintaining accurate chart‑of‑accounts and documenting financial processes
• Supporting payroll, financial audits, and system upgrades
• Researching local, state, and federal regulations to assess financial impacts
• Collaborating with departments and agencies to validate and share financial data
• Taking on special projects and performing other analytical assignments

What You'll Bring

Experience & Education

• Experience: 2-3 years of progressively responsible fiscal or budget‑related experience, ideally in local government
• Education: Equivalent to Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a closely related field
