This position will analyze financial information from multiple funding sources (unrestricted, restricted and sponsored) for the purposes of providing financial strategy, direction and support resulting in recommendations to the Department Chair/Associate Dean and related stakeholders (Maxwell professional degree programs, executive education, and non-credit programs).
This role will work with Public Administration & International Affairs, Policy Studies, Maxwell online professional degree programs, Executive Education sponsored programs and fee-based programs, and Maxwell in DC as it relates to overlap with the program listed above. Given this, it requires engagement with multiple stakeholders, coordination and summarization of information for decision making individuals, and budgetary and financial expertise that requires broad knowledge of multiple areas of the budget and knowledge of University policies and procedures, and the differences based on the type of funding (sponsored vs. restricted vs. unrestricted).
This position is responsible for accurate and timely processing of financial transactions related to expenses, sponsored effort reporting, grants, and salary holding accounts. In order to achieve this, this position may supervise others, particularly casual-wage, part-time workers.
