The Opportunity
As a Budtender at High Seas, you will be on the front lines of the customer experience, turning first-time visitors into loyal regulars. What You'll Do
- Deliver friendly, knowledgeable service to every customer, asking the right questions to recommend products that match their needs and preferences.
- Drive sales by increasing average cart size through effective upselling, cross-selling, and promotion of featured products and deals.
- Maintain an accurate till and handle all cash, debit, and other transactions in full compliance with company procedures and regulations.
- Keep the sales floor, displays, and work areas clean, organized, stocked, and visually appealing throughout your shift.
- Promote memberships, loyalty programs, and reviews to build customer retention, online reputation, and Hash Club membership.
What Success Looks Like
- Consistently meets or exceeds personal and team sales goals, including average transaction value and units per transaction, within the first few months.
- Achieves 100% accuracy in cash handling, deposits, and end-of-shift checklist completion to ensure smooth handoffs and compliant operations.
- Regularly secures customer reviews and Hash Club memberships each week, contributing to store growth and customer loyalty.
- Earns strong scores on secret shopper evaluations for product knowledge, customer service, and sales technique, while maintaining a clean, organized sales floor.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in retail, customer service, or cannabis is preferred, with a track record of working successfully in fast-paced environments.
- Strong cannabis product knowledge, or the ability and desire to quickly learn and pass a product knowledge assessment.
- Clear, confident communication skills and a customer-first mindset, with the ability to build quick rapport.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable using POS systems, handling cash, and following compliance, health, and safety standards.
