BIG PAY.Build Shop Diesel Mechanic- Level B  |  Exeter, NH  |  Hiring NOWTHE OPPORTUNITYThe Diesel Mechanic – Level B will work within our body shop and build shop to inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty trucks, buses, and commercial diesel equipment — the same core mechanical work as our Service Diesel Mechanics, but performed on a different population of vehicles: new builds, wreckers and equipment under construction, and units being prepped for sale, rather than the day-to-day customer service and repair queue. This role requires 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience and the ability to work independently on core mechanical systems under general supervision.
Compensation:  $25–$35 per hour, based on experience.Schedule: Monday- Friday, 40 hours per week, no nights, no weekendsBenefits: This is a benefit-eligible position
WHAT YOU'LL DO Use diagnostic software to identify engine codes and troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems Diagnose and repair brakes, steering components, transmissions, and undercarriage systems  Perform preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and component overhauls  Read and interpret complex wiring diagrams, service manuals, and hydraulic schematics  Coordinate with Auto Body Specialists and Truck Build Technicians to sequence mechanical work around build and repair timelines  Maintain accurate repair and build records  Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety standardsWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORMust-Haves:
  • 2–5 years of verified medium-to-heavy vehicle or equipment repair experience
  • Ability to work independently on core mechanical systems under general supervision
  • Vocational school diploma; ASE Heavy-Duty certifications preferred
  • Valid driver's license; CDL Class A or B may be required for test-driving large vehicles
  • Proficiency with diesel diagnostic software
  • Comfortable using mechanical and electrical power tools
