JOB SUMMARY:
A Builder repairs and assembles cabinets with quality or material issues to pass inspection using various tools and fixtures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Use of pneumatic equipment, power, and hand tools; hot melt glue, jigs, and other equipment to assemble cabinets and/or install missing components of cabinets to specifications
- Check components and assembled cabinets for quality standards and assemble packing trays
- Use computer programs in various aspects in building and repair of cabinets to specifications
- Accurately interpret production labels and data in various computer systems
- When assigned, work on the off-line to address building errors
- Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeeping
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to identify cabinet types, wood species, finishes, and color variances
- Ability to use basic math concepts and read a standard tape measure
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
Required Physical Ability:
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Frequent bending, crouching, pulling, and pushing
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 30lb, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lb
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Working in an indoor environment with excessive hot, humid, and cold temperatures
- Protective safety gear will be required including safety glasses, gloves, and sleeves
- The noise level is usually moderate to high
- Occasional overtime and weekend work as required
