We are looking for a dedicated detail-oriented building attendant to join our team at St. Peters City Hall.
In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining a clean, safe, and functional space for the citizens of St. Peters and City staff. You will have the opportunity to be a part of an exciting team that values initiative, creativity, customer service, and operational excellence.
Normal shift: 4:30 PM - 10:00 PM, varies. This is a second shift position with a rotating schedule, including weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide superior customer service to the staff and general public. • Provide general cleaning and custodial tasks, including emptying trash, cleaning, sanitizing, sweeping, mopping, and use of floor equipment, etc. • Maintain facilities in an orderly, clean, safe, and secure manner. • Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of City facilities, both prior and post event, and ensure that the facility is ready for the next scheduled use. • Maintain facilities equipment and ensure that equipment functions properly, and notify management of maintenance issues. • Assist with basic repairs using standard hand tools. • Clear and salt walkways during snow and ice conditions. • Assist in other City facilities as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
• Must be a US citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker. • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. • Motor Vehicle Operators License valid in the state of Missouri. • Fundamental knowledge of janitorial equipment and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
