JOB TITLE: Building Automation Project Engineer HVAC

DEPARTMENT: CONSTRUCTION
JOB SUMMARY:
Design and engineer control system hardware and software programming based on project plans, specifications, and other contract documents. Provide analysis of building control and HVAC system performance at a complete systems and campus level. Ensure documentation is accurate and complete. Provide project management on projects as required, interfacing directly to ATS customers. Supervise sub-contractors and suppliers. Direct project financial responsibility increases with tenure in this position, including use of ATS project management financial reports. This is an exempt position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
· Complete control system overall design responsibility
· Control programming and graphic development
· Manage the start up of control and HVAC systems
· Manage the commissioning of control and HVAC systems
· Record and update drawings and software modifications
· Engineer field changes, maintain as-build documentation
· Develop and conduct Owner training
· Provide project management tasks ( job plans, labor planning/scheduling, fiscal analysis, etc)
· Material ordering/coordination
· Foreign Protocol Integration coordination and execution
· Manage time to complete assignments on time and within budget
· Maintain -06A Electrical Card
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Programming skills
· Strong analytical skills
· Strong interactive and communication skills
· Management of technicians and subcontractors
· Strong troubleshooting skills
· Experience with electronics and basic electrical circuits
· Knowledge of DDC Control Theory and Applications
· Ability to work independently and unsupervised
· ACAD skills
CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE:
· Engineering undergraduate degree
· Equivalent combination of education and experience
· Computer programming experience
· HVAC and/or Mechanical system experience
