Job Announcement
The Fairfax County Facilities Management Department seeks an Engineer II who, under general supervision of the Building Automation System (BAS) division Project Coordinator, serves as a technical expert to plan, execute, operate, maintain, and repair Building Automation Systems (BAS)/Energy Management Control Systems (EMCS) in over 100 commercial buildings across over 12 million square feet of occupiable space.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following:

Graduation from a four-year college or university accredited by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technologies with a bachelors degree in the appropriate engineering or architectural field; plus, one year of professional experience in the appropriate engineering field.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
Valid drivers license
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check and driving record check to the satisfaction of the employer.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to climb ladders. Must be able to communicate by telephone and computer. Must be able to discern color for review and monitoring of electronic systems. Must be willing to attend off site training programs. Must have eyesight adequate to review engineering plans. Must maintain a valid drivers license. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
